Domestic Abuse Counselling: Safe, Confidential Support

Experiencing domestic abuse can leave you feeling confused, overwhelmed and unsure of yourself. You may be questioning what has happened, minimising your experiences, or struggling to trust your own thoughts and feelings. In our work together, I offer a calm, supportive space where you can begin to make sense of what you have been through, at your own pace. There is no judgement here, only a careful and respectful exploration of your experience, helping you to feel heard, understood and more in control again.

Counselling can help you begin to understand the impact of abuse on your sense of self, your relationships, and your emotional wellbeing. Together, we can gently explore patterns such as self-doubt, anxiety, people-pleasing or feeling on edge, and make sense of how these may have developed as ways of coping. The work can support you in rebuilding your confidence, strengthening your boundaries, and reconnecting with your own needs and voice. Over time, this can help you feel more grounded, more self-assured, and better able to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
